Black Students Association announces meeting schedule SAVANNAH -- The Black Students Association meets every other Thursday in the Dyson House lobby, 121 W. Boundary St. The next meeting is scheduled for March 13, 8 p.m. For more information, e-mail Mirian Njoh. Volunteers needed for Sidewalk Arts Festival The annual Sidewalk Arts Festival will be held April 26, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m., in Forsyth Park. Volunteers are needed for the day of this event as well as on April 25 for set-up. Any type of volunteering would be helpful, whether it is all day or just for a couple of hours. Many volunteers are needed as Sidewalk Arts Festival is one of SCAD’s largest events. For information about volunteering, contact Brittany Banks in the events department at (912) 525-5242. Information on preventing credit card fraud/identity theft posted on MySCAD SCAD security encourages students, faculty and staff to monitor bank and credit card accounts for credit card fraud and/or identity theft. Report suspicious transactions immediately to the relevant bank/credit card company and the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police at (912) 651-6675, or the Atlanta Police Department at (404) 853-3434. Credit card fraud/identity theft information has been posted on MySCAD, including how identity can be stolen, what to do if you believe your ID was stolen, tips on keeping your information safe and helpful Web sites. To find the information manually, log on to MySCAD and look in the College Services channel on the MyCampus tab; click on "College Security"; then click on "Credit Card Fraud, Identity Theft." Transportation reminder around York Hall SAVANNAH -- Students, faculty and staff are reminded to be careful near York Hall, 115 Drayton St. Do not turn from Abercorn Street into the one-way alley. When driving in the alley, obey the speed limit. There are other buildings located along this narrow alley and visibility of oncoming traffic is difficult. Host a two-hour radio show SCAD Radio invites students, faculty and staff to participate in its Saturday Special programs on Saturdays from 4-6 p.m. Members of the SCAD community who have an interest in a particular musical genre, theme or time period can show off their record collections during these special two-hour shows. To apply for a Saturday Special, send a description of the proposed show to Program Director Brandyn Bold. SCAD Radio staff members will assist participants during the broadcasts. All music must comply with Federal Communications Commission regulations and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. Request more information on FCC and DMCA requirements. Alumni can use SCAD-Savannah fitness centers for a fee SAVANNAH -- SCAD operates three fitness centers: Club SCAD and the Turner House facility in Savannah and the SCAD-Atlanta fitness center in Atlanta. Fitness centers are open daily to all enrolled college students and current faculty and staff. Any current faculty or staff member who refers a qualified, new candidate to the college receives $500 if the college hires that candidate for a full-time faculty position. Since the program’s implementation in 2004, 23 employees of SCAD and SCAD Group Inc. have received a referral bonus. High-resolution JPEG-format images only are accepted, with the smallest dimension greater than 1,000 pixels. Images may be cropped to fit the landscape orientation of the site. Student artwork should include the name of the student, hometown, degree sought and major, title of the work, medium, dimensions (when appropriate), and year work was produced (e.g., Jane Smith, Brookline, Mass., B.F.A. student in painting, “Morning Dew,” oil on canvas, 8” x 10”, 2003).
