Student excels in marathon design competition
Photo by Dane Sponberg Published: Friday, February 29, 2008 (From right) P.J. Johnson, vice president for SCAD-Atlanta, and Victoria Seahorn, ING Georgia Marathon race director, recognize student Mike Albuquerque, a Master of Fine Arts candidate in advertising design, Feb. 22 for his winning design in the 2008 ING Georgia Marathon poster design competition. On Oct. 27, 2007, SCAD-Atlanta students competed to create poster designs in 13 hours and one minute — the average time required to run a marathon. Albuquerque won a $2,500 scholarship, and his design will be used on publicity materials for the marathon, scheduled March 30. |
